Bachelor of University Studies

 

 

UT Online currently offers the online Bachelor of University Studies (BUS) degree completion program that allows students to incorporate 60 hours or more of credit earned from an accredited post- secondary institution and earn up to 30 credit hours for experiential learning!

 

Students can choose academic courses which best meet their career goals in this self-designed general studies degree program. An individualized degree program is constructed in consulation with a faculty advisor whose educational and professional background is related to the student’s programmatic goal.

 

Explore courses in communications, history, mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, social science and fine arts while completing a degree conferred by The University of Tennessee at Martin, a fully accredited campus of The University of Tennessee.

The online B.U.S. Planning Guide has been designed to help you, with the assistance of an academic advisor, plan your degree completion program. This tool allows you the flexibility to design your own pathway to a bachelor's degree. One of the unique features of online B.U.S. is the Portfolio Credit for experiential learning. You may have participated in training programs at work, professional or military programs, self-study, hobbies, or community activities for which you may receive up to 30 hours of university credit. One of the online B.U.S. courses can help you develop your portfolio.
